Gwinnett County is a great place to live! It is very affordable and not so far to the Airport and Downtown. The county seat is the city of Lawrenceville.

The population is near 700,000 and growing. A lot has happened in the last 25 years and Gwinnett is still booming. Gwinnett is ranked top 10 in growth in the state. Average cost of a resale home is $158,900 and new home is $181,000. Very affordable and always a lot to choose from. Taxes are very reasonable at $32.05 per $1,000.

TRANSPORTATION
Once you move your new drivers license is required within 30 days. Check the items required to take with you and don’t forget the fee is $15.00.

Emissions:
Cars model years 1980 –2001 require emission checks. Cars 25 years and older and the 3 most recent model years are exempt. The test price ranges between $10-$25. You will see a number of “emission centers” throughout the areas. You do not have to have your car checked in the county in which you reside.
